HAMPTON FARMS & TIMBER
Hampton Farms & Timber Company is a family run business created through a love of woodworking. This love was developed over time through founder Adam Greer's early days of framing and general construction. While operating other businesses, Adam's woodworking hobby grew over a period of 20 years. Over that time Adam honed his craft with projects ranging from building a canoe by hand to a big timber pavilion for his family to enjoy.
After selling his primary business in 2020, Adam decided to make some big investments in his primary passion. He purchased a sawmill, built his dream shop, and asked his son Hunter to join him full-time in a custom woodworking business. Over the next couple of years they completed projects for local friends and family ranging from custom mantels, countertops, tables, and trailer decking to name a few.
While completing these projects Adam and Hunter began to zero in on the parts of woodworking where their greatest passion was; working with big timbers. In June of 2022 they, along with Adam's nephew-in-law John, attended a 10 day Timber Framing class outside of Asheville, NC. They all left enamored with the craft of Timber Framing and decided to make this pursuit of perfecting it their primary focus.
While still early in their pursuit, they've demonstrated that with their unique mix of skills and strong passion for the craft, they can complete unique, one of a kind structures, that are ready to be enjoyed for generations.
